Itinerary
Day 1
CITY LANDSCAPES. Afternoon city walk, learning history and discovering the local culture.
Day 2
RUTA 40. A day to explore landscapes, local spices and wines, ancient adobe buildings, and colourful ponchos. Evening in Cachi.
Day 3
ABRA DEL ACAY. La Poma old village, Inca ruins, the Acay pass at 4895 metres above sea level, enter the high Puna. Evening in San Antonio de los Cobres.
Day 4
VOLCANOES. Old abandoned mining sites at the foot of dormant volcanoes. Barrancas and Stone and mud villages. Evening at a local community project.
Day 5
SALINAS GRANDES. Morning on the salt flats to learn how the local communities mine the salt. Drive down to the Quebrada de Humahuaca. Sleep in Purmamarca.
Day 6
SIETE COLORES. Walk around the Seven Colour Mountain. Lunch in the small village and drive to the Jujuy airport.

Day 1
QUEBRADA DE HUMAHUACA. Drive from Jujuy north and explore Tilcara, Purmamamarca and Uquía.
Day 2
SIERRAS DE ZENTA. Drive further north to Humahuaca and east to Serranías de Hornocal and Santa Ana.
Day 3
INTO THE JUNGLE. The small village of Caspalá. Inca trails. Yungas forest. Spend the evening in tropical San Francisco, near Calilegua.
Day 4
Calilegua National Park. Nature, birds, hiking. Evening in Ledesma.
Day 5
Morning drive to Jujuy, visit Yala Provincial Reserve. Lunch. Drop off at the Jujuy airport.
